Dispensaries in and around Kansas City have made public their intentions to commence sales to customers aged 21 and up beginning this coming Friday.
It’s a day that dispensaries have been preparing for over the course of several months. According to From the Earth’s statement to FOX4, the company has added more than 40 personnel in preparation for the launch of recreational sales.
Adam Diltz, a co-owner of From the Earth, claimed that it was probably five times busier than it would normally be to watch this around lunch during the week. “I don’t know exactly,” he said.
They’ve gone one step farther as a result of the amount of the request.
According to Diltz, “we also enlarged our infrastructure a little bit, adding more counter space, and more (point of sale) stations for individuals to check out in order to ensure that we are able to turn them around as quickly as possible.”
Other dispensaries, including as Good Day Farm, Fresh Green Dispensary, and Greenlight, opened their doors for recreational marijuana sales on Friday throughout the Kansas City metropolitan region.
In the state of Missouri, is it legal to smoke marijuana in public places? Where smoking marijuana is not permitted
On Friday, the state began the process of issuing licenses for the sale of recreational marijuana.
Previous reports from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) indicated that 318 of the state’s 322 businesses allowed to cultivate medical marijuana had submitted applications to transfer their licenses to those required to cultivate marijuana for recreational use.
On Monday, it is anticipated that an even greater number of clinics that have previously been granted authority to sell medical marijuana will be granted approval to sell recreational marijuana.
Some businesses in Missouri are in for some financial relief as a result of this good news because they were previously restricted to selling medical marijuana only.
According to Diltz, “now with volume you can sort of offset that tax burden and actually start to earn a profit.”
